Painting Contractor Certification Programme:

PCCP is a national accreditation program for painting contractors that is managed by CSIRO who have wide experience in managing similar certification and accreditation schemes. In 2010 PCCP expanded to incorporate those contractors who carry out pavement marking. This expansion was at the request of industry, specifically the state road authorities. Currently (mid 2011), PCCP is a mandatory requirement for all pavement marking contractors doing state road and highway work in NSW and SA.

The objective of PCCP is to increase the business professionalism of contractors by ensuring they have good control over all aspects of their business – quality, OH&S and environmental – including the skills and experience of their operators, maintenance and calibration of their plant, equipment and testing instruments. Audits are conducted regularly to ensure compliance and lists of accredited contractors are made available to all government users of the PCCP scheme.
